Lily Brown

Lily is a proud resident of Worcester, Massachusetts and brings seven years of facilitation experience to STOKE. She sees her role as that of an “on call facilitator/trainer” for her community. This looks like curating visioning sessions, difficult board meetings, and retreats for a diversity of Worcester changemaking groups who have needed support in taking the time to recommit to their work and one another. Lily learned how community-building could be used as an essential tool for social change through her work with the UMass Alliance for Community Transformation (UACT), an organization within UMass Amherst. She believes that beautiful things can happen when people are given the opportunity to hear one another, and she brings this value into her current work training high school students as sexual health peer educators.
